Cade and birch tar go up first and they do not lift — the smoke sits at chest height and stays there, thickened by three ouds and a nagarmotha that smells like wet earth under a fire. Underneath it there is something almost sweet, tonka and vanilla and a shamama that keeps sliding back toward the rum in the opening, and then myrrh and red Hojari arrive and turn the whole thing quiet.
